Hickory Dickory Dock, We Can’t Afford a Clock

Is every scene with Serena going to end with her staring at some offscreen clock, declaring, “Is that the time?! Oh no, I’m always late!” before rushing out?

There’s “lovably quirky,” and then there’s “This woman is such a spaz that she shouldn’t be allowed to hold a job, and also, I don’t for a second believe that she glanced at an actual clock.”

The verdict is still out on the Serena character for me. I like Melissa Archer, and I like her interactions with Eric, but they’re hitting us pretty hard with the whole “This woman has a backbone but is also adorably zany!” stuff. I don’t mind that they wanted to hit the ground running by giving her this backstory with Eric and knowing his family, but it also makes it tougher to invest in their relationship, since we missed the part where they actually fell in love. Also, am I drunk (not yet!), or would Melissa Archer with slightly darker hair have worked as a Chloe recast?

Serena’s funny. I think her voice sounds a lot like Chloe’s! Their eyes are also sort of similar

I loved Melissa Archer on OLTL, so I’m excited to see her. I’m hoping they use her and she actually gets a decent story. I was very happy that they didn’t do the standard “I’m new in town, and I know _______, but I have to hide behind a bunch of bushes and spy on him/her for a bit before letting him/her know I’m in town” story line. That is done way too much. It was refreshing change of pace to see her just walk right up to him.

Thank god. I’m surprised Melanie didn’t do that, just for fun!

I think Melissa Archer is beautiful and I love her outfits but, I don’t like Sarena that much; I agree, it’s hard for be to be invested in yet another off-screen back story with Eeyore Eric of all people who I detested since he returned 2 years ago as Father Eric. She’s appears to be a “voice of reason” at times and others she comes off as a bit of a scatter-brained spazz. I also wondered how she can hold down job if she’s never on time as well. Also, any woman who would secretly chase a not-that-hot guy half way around the world who dumped her for God must be bat s*** nuts!😳

See, I like Eric (or I did until he started just yelling at/about Nicole all the time) and I think GV is incredibly handsome, so that’s the only part about Serena that I CAN relate to! 🙂

Is Lisa Rinna running the wardrobe department now? I feel like I’ve seen versions of this leopard dress on Eve, Nicole, Kristen, Teresa… Even Adrianne is wearing one ON THE SAME DAY. Pick another print for god’s sake! Go borrow Marlena’s giraffe blazer!

On the subject of clothes, I cracked up when Jen described Anne Milbauer to Serena as wearing ‘yet another wrap dress’. SHADE.

Clothes cont’d: Will’s vest…and hair. He looks like an extra from Peter Pan Live.

      Ahahahahaha!

Anne has like 40 versions of the same dress. At least she looks good in it, JEN!

Will looks ridiculous. No sane human being, let alone homosexual male, is dressing like a member of the damn Four Non-Blondes.

      • Andie Says:

I ❤️ wrap dresses (especially polka dots and geometric designs) and think they flatter most everyBODY. 😃 Jen of all people has no right to critize anyone’s wardrobe choices. With exception of her hair and unflattering make-up colors Jen looked nice although out of season with the sleeveless dresses since her visit with Laura. I give it another week before we all go “WTF is Jen wearing?!”

      • mykleraus Says:

Anne’s dresses are generally great. It was hilarious to me that they had Jen, of all people, throwing stones on that front!
