What Happened in Salem: Week of May 22nd

The adventure in Greece wound down, and Brady took a turn for the worse…

With Deimos in custody, Sonny convinced Victor to back him as the next CEO of Titan, because there’s nothing that inspires faith in shareholders like a 20-something whose only corporate experience to date has been half-assedly running a fashion business for two weeks. Through some sort of story gymnastics that aren’t even interesting to recap, Sonny wound up flying the plane headed home from Greece with Paul, Chad, Gabi, Eli, JJ, and Lani on it, and since he’s even less qualified to do that than he is to run an international conglomerate, the thing promptly crashed on a deserted island.

  1. I was shocked to learn sonny was the pilot of the plane that crashed on the island. When did he take flying lessons? In his teens??

  2. Jamie Says:

Oh man, I didn’t realize Ciara was leaving this soon!! Not that I’m going to miss her, but I was really hoping Wyatt was going to be around for “beach” season!

  3. ADW Says:

I’m glad we got to see some resemblance of the Sonny we know and love after they crashed on the island. Sonny is a resourceful outdoorsy guy who camped, backpacked, and traveled all over the world. I was astounded Sonny was flying the plane alongside most of the viewers. I don’t fault Sonny for having to emergency land, after all the plane had a fuel leak (Chad brought his cursed amulet on-board).
What is the deal was with that little flash drive device inside the “empty box” which Gabi turned over to Demios’s goon when he held Gabi and Chad at knife point. Demios was angered that the amulet was not inside however he said, “it’s not a total loss, this right here is information.” I’m wondering if it’s some sort of tracking device which will lead Demios to the castaways because Chad still has the amulet?

Oh, I didn’t even register that thing about the empty box and Deimos’s line. I’m honestly paying 50% attention most of the time right now. That might be a good way to have them track down the crash victims — or maybe it’s something else valuable that everyone will be after Deimos for? I’m beyond ready for him to go away.

      • ADW Says:

Yeah, everything bad in Salem at the moment seems to be Demios’s fault OR Chloe’s fault. I’m wondering if Victor has anymore nevermentioned brothers or family members who will pop up out of the blue?
I never thought I would be more sick and tired of hearing the phrase “Daniel’s heart” until “The Amulet” came along which sits at a close second. The Amulet looks a product named “Puff the Dragon” that you would purchase for $39.95 at a local head shop.

      • mykleraus Says:

And the amulet weirdly feels like an afterthought even though they’re talking about it so much! WHY is Chad bothering with this thing?!
