What Happened in Salem: Week of October 24th

Just when you thought it was safe to run around town again…

With the siege over, Salem started to get back to normal, which meant typical Salem occurrences like Kayla decorating the pier for a dinner with Steve instead of going to a restaurant and Nicole having to grovel for Deimos’s forgiveness for having dared to keep Chloe’s secret about him being the baby’s father. Meanwhile, Aiden coerced Hope into joining him in his hotel room for a romantic evening, but Hope stood up to him and made him see that making her go to bed with him would be rape. Faster than you can say, “We have new writers who have no interest in continuing this storyline,” Aiden destroyed his recording of her confession, handed her a flash drive containing the alleged only other copy, and resigned as D.A. to move back to Oregon.

I really enjoy your recaps and entries so much but, have been hesitant to hop on and read them lately because I’m more than 2 weeks behind and I have some catching up to do. All I can say about Hope’s recording being played over and over is it sounds so much like the movie Jawbreaker when Rosie McGowan’s character Courtner was outed “I killed Liz, I killed the teen dream, deal with it…” LOL 😂 I’m beyond thriller to hear Aiden finally tucked his tail between his legs and left town to join Rapey Chase as they are two of them are even less liked than by Salemites than Andre. It’s nice to hear Kayla is taking started taking Xanax or something like that, I loved her for years but, she really got on my last nerve since Joey was aged Steve returned.

Hahahaha! Great reference. It was starting to drive me insane at the top of this Monday’s episode — you’ll see. It just kept going and going and going.

They’ve definitely made Kayla less of a nag the past few weeks, which is very welcome.
