What Happened in Salem: Week of July 11th

The desperate search for Tate heated up…

After she went on TV and offered a $1 million reward for Tate’s return, Theresa was unable to stop blaming Brady for having brought suspected kidnapper Summer to Salem — which, hey, I get the instinct, but I believe it’s important in times like that this that we focus on who’s really to blame, and that’s Daniel and his stupid heart. Anyway, John and his investigation intern, famous baseball player and fashion catalogue model Paul Narita, zeroed in on their search for Summer and learned that she had (idiotically) checked into a Las Vegas hotel under the name Cindy Callahan. Ugh, another dead boring week. It seems like this ‘explosion’ on the DiMera property was just a way to try to sell us Rafe and Hope as a couple, but it’s just not working for me. Even this Tate kidnapping story is a total bore to me, I guess because it has to do with Summer again. Can’t these writers do anything right? I can’t think of a single story that’s being written/executed well right now.

The explosion feels like a forced climax to this Hope/Rafe/Aiden triangle, too — which makes me hopeful they’re trying to move the hell on. I don’t see any potential for Hope/Aiden going forward, so at least we’ll get a NEW (stupid) story…

LMAO at the reference to Touch the Sky airlines. I had forgotten about that idiocy.
