What Happened in Salem: Week of August 24th

It was a big week, as someone in Salem met a grisly end, and other faces were seen for the first time in a long while…

In the grand tradition of every person who gets involved with half of a supercouple, Aiden had secret communications with a mysterious boss, and it became clear that his mission in Salem has been to win Hope over. He took her out for a romantic evening and proposed. At the same time, Caroline told Victor about a nightmare she’d had that involved Bo being held captive. Somewhere in a dark, dirty room, Bo laid on a floor, looking very injured…

Yes, things actually happened this week!! Great recap, funny as always!

I loved the scenes on Friday, Aiden proposing to Hope inter-cut with Caroline telling Victor her dream about Bo. That was really, really well done!

Speaking of Caroline…her name is CAROLINE!!! Not, Carolyn…Julie! That drives me crazy when the actors mispronounce character names!! Why does no one tell them?! I know they can only do limited takes, but tell them after so they can fix it for the next time! Every time I hear Kate say “DeMeera”, it makes me want to slap her! She was Kate DiMera, you’d think she would have learned to say her last name properly!!

As much as I despised Serena, I really like Melissa Archer and it’s sad the show wasted her the way they did. Too bad she didn’t get hired on now, in the “new DAYS”. I thought she had a great exit line though “You need to learn that no means no!” Pretty good line to go out on.

I thought it was funny when Abigail and Ben were talking weddings and she was saying how they could get married on a weekday, but in the evening so people would be able to attend after work. HA! Like having a job matters in Salem.

Victor has always pronounced it “Carolyn,” too. You’d think she would have corrected him sometime in the past FIFTY DAMN YEARS.

Serena’s exit was very strong, especially for a character who consistently sucked so much. There was real life in her scenes with Chad!

I noticed that thing about the weekday wedding, too. I’m sure Jennifer can “work from home” one more day for her daughter’s wedding…
