Newbie Cast as Legacy Kid

Based on casting calls, we knew word of this would be coming at some point…

Meet Claire Brady, daughter of Shawn and Belle! Per Jason47:

Olivia Rose Keegan joins the “Days” cast this fall in the recurring role of Claire Brady, Shawn and Belle’s daughter (and Bo, Hope, John and Marlena’s granddaughter). Claire last appeared on “Days” in 2008, when her parents left Salem for an around-the-world cruise. Keegan already has an extensive acting resume, having appeared on such hit shows as “A.N.T. Farm”, “Sam & Cat” and “Modern Family.”

Interesting that the role is recurring (at least for now). Maybe that means they won’t be shoving her into frontburner story right away, which is always refreshing. She looks like a cross between the two Belles, Martha Madison and Kirsten Storms (sorry, Charity Rahmer!), so at least they got that part right. And they cast an actual teenager instead of a 23-year-old posing as one. This sort of reminds me of when they cast Ashley Benson, who was 14 at the time, as Abigail… and then had her playing way beyond her age when Abigail went to college two years later. Maybe the fact that Shawn and Belle are relatively young will keep them from doing that for a while.

It’s funny you mentioned Ashley Benson cause when I first saw her picture at a quick glance, that’s who I thought she was.

She looks like the love child of Ashley Benson and Kirsten Storms.

A very lovely young lady but I am not looking forward to teenage angst.

I’m hoping she has a very supporting role that’s all family-related for a while, until we grow to know and enjoy the character, rather than having her foisted into her own story immediately.
