What Happened in Salem: Week of May 18th

While Paige finally learning the truth was the main event, other stuff (sort of) went on this week…

On the plane, Stefano taunted Marlena and continued to blame her for Kristen’s death. He implied that he would have his revenge after all and had his men take her away… to dump her out in the park in Salem — where, let’s face it, she’s likely to be mugged or murdered anyway. Marlena found her way to the Town Square and John. Meanwhile, Stefano prodded Chad about his progress in getting back together with Abigail and hoped he would do so “for the family.” Once along, Stefano mysteriously fondled an envelope labeled ‘Abigail Deveraux.’ Following her argument with Jennifer, Abigail sought solace from Chad. She wondered why she is so judgmental — which, girl, you just admitted that you idolize Jennifer Horton. What’s the mystery here?

“Excuse me, Sonny, someone hacked in to the computer.” Ha! Maybe those pesky people who took down the Salem U sports website are back.

What’s Stefano up to with Abigail? It has to be a baby with EJ, right? But, that has been over a year ago, where would that baby be this whole time?

Loved seeing Paul punch Will. That was so satisfying. I loved John’s response to how his affair with Marlena ruined Sami’s life. “I never bought into that…”

The best part of the week, for me, was the most awkward high-five in the history of high-fives between Rory and Daniel.

There was that weird doctor’s appointment where Abigail found out she wasn’t pregnant. I bet he pulled a Mandrake on her — though with the writers changing and the fact that the plot JUST happened with Brady/Theresa, maybe they’ll surprise us (yeah, right).

      That high-five was really funny!

I’m finally watching Friday’s episode. Paige – “Okay, there was the first time when you decided to bury your grief in my mother….”

Ummmmm….that was a very interesting choice of words, considering what else JJ decided to bury in her mother…

The whole JJ/Paige blowout was just as painfully awful as the Italy baby caper. On the bright side, at least it served as a catalyst for Abigail and Chad to grow closer.

But, if there is one thing that would actually allow me to forgive and forget all the ridiculous crap these immature, inexperienced, and clueless writers have displayed in the past year, it’s Paul flattening Will! Seeing Will crumpled on the floor with his hair all whacked to the side and this dumbass dazed look on his face was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This by far has been the single best moment in the show’s history in a year, and redeems every bit of crap we’ve had to deal with all year, including the Pub 2-seater and The Shave!!!!!!!!!!!

She broke Hope’s reign on eyebrow acrobatics.
