What Happened in Salem: Week of January 19th

Another week, another round of “Everyone tell Nicole what a horrible person she is”…

Nicole was upset that Eric, Serena, and even Daniel put the blame on her for the catfight with Serena, so she got in touch with her source, who revealed that he used to be Serena’s research partner and that she had taken credit for his work. He urged Nicole to gain access to Serena’s computer for proof. Salem: the town where former mayor EJ DiMera’s death warrants ten minutes of conversation, but a medical journalist with an improper bibliography is the top story on the evening news.

Love your recaps. There is no way there is anything on that hard drive that is going to slander Serena’s “perfect” image, unfortunately.

In other news, Stefano spoke for the audience today while on the phone with Chad talking about Jordan “Don’t tell me she actually matters to you”.. haha.

They’re playing Serena SO heavy-handedly that it’s hard for me to believe there isn’t a twist coming with her actually being some evil genius, but then again, this is Days…

I LOL’d at that bit with Stefano, too. His disdain for Jordan is almost as amusing to me as when he kept ragging on EJ for being in love with Taylor, “that bookkeeper!”

Snorena’s s/l seems like it’s a painfully slow boil; so many layers to get through and they’ve barely peeled off the skin. Once again Nicole is the “bad guy.” 😡 I wish they would speed this up and usher Sarena out.
LOL Stefano’s quips are a pleasure as always and it was refreshing to see him standing and walking around the room for the first time in several months. I heard Joe M. broke his leg since last time he was filmed as being in Salem 😞 I think Chad needs a crash couse with flash backs about Stefano’s and John Black’s vendetta, this will be great history lesson for younger fans and good for the DOOL 50th year milestone. One aspect of Stefano’s convo with Chad: why does Stefano want Chad back with Abby? Do you think EJ and Abby’s embryo was implanted in a surrogate last year AND Stefano wants those two to raise the baby?

      • mykleraus Says:

Oh god. Stefano’s motivations and plots are always completely convoluted, so that would make some kind of deranged sense.

I read that Joe M. was having leg trouble, yeah. It’s nice to see him up and about. The guy is 85! He really does look great and I like having him as a presence in whatever way we can get him.

      • Andie Says:

Another theory: A while back Stefano worked to earn the respect of some of the Hortons’ partly which gave Dimera a seat on Hospital board. Then, Stefano’s children royally screwed things up such as EJ’s affair with Abby.
I’m wondering if Stefano sees Chad rekindling his romance with Abby as an opportunity to once again mend things with the Hortons’. This could possibly be EJami rebooted??? Stefano was animate about EJ romancing/marrying Sami in hopes of ending the Brady-Dimera feud. I see many similarites with Abby/Chad and EJ/Sami most notably the fact they are violate and both go circles: rinse, lather, repeat. 😊

Back then, I thought it was completely impossible that Stefano could’ve stolen a fetus out of Abigail at that stage, but then Kristen did it to Theresa, soooooo…
