Two Actresses Out!

Time to bust out the confetti and floats from the last time Maggie threw a “Daniel Took a Dump!” parade — these are good ones.

Hiding the news behind the cut for the spoiler-allergic…

Chrishell Stause, a.k.a. Jordan Ridgeway, tweeted yesterday that she is either done filming or almost done filming (she claims to have shot scenes “in Nov[ember],” so she either means November 2013 or she’s mastered time travel) and will last air in March, thanks to the insane production schedule.

To which I say: don’t let the barn door hit you in the ass on the way out, Tammy Sue! This character has been a flop of epic proportions since nearly Minute One, with the go-nowhere secrets, the half-baked rivalry with Kate, the tepid romance with Rafe… Smart, smart move on the show’s part. There was no “there” there. For a character who will have allegedly driven story for a year and a half, Jordan is going to register as barely a blip in the larger scheme of Days history. I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that we have to watch her for four more months (four months!), but maybe it’ll go down a little easier knowing she’s on her way out. When she says, “the best is yet to come for Jordan,” I presume she means we’ll see her get hit by a garbage truck, which then backs over just to be sure it did the trick, but who knows?

Meanwhile, Jason47 reports that Alexandra Shipp (Mary Beth) last aired in the October 23 episode. She has two big TV movies coming up — first is the Drumline sequel you never knew you want (or wanted at all) on VH1, and then Lifetime’s Aaliyah biopic, which they’re promoting with the hashtag #TalentIsEternal, which is basically just handing TV critics their headlines.

So, good luck to Shipp, who I’m sure is a lovely young woman with a bright future ahead of her, and may we never again have to see Mary Beth collapsing to the floor catatonic because her friend got birth control.

Good news! It’s hard to believe that after doing essentially nothing for a whole 15 months (!), Jordan’s just skipping town. Can she just take the whole family with her? I’m honestly bored with all of them. Ben & Abby are a total snoozefest. As for Mary Beth, good riddance.

    • mykleraus Says:

I like Abby, and this new Chad actually has potential, so I’m fine playing the two of them. Ben can follow Jordan wherever she goes. And Kate can get one over on Clyde and send him up the river.

      • Dylan Says:

Yeah I agree. Ben is hot, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that he’s so boring. Well, if Jordan is leaving, I’d imagine they’ll all follow her since she’s supposed to be the “center” of this joke of a storyline. Unless they’re shifting it over to Clyde, which is possible.

      • mykleraus Says:

They can use Clyde fine as a disposable villain between now and March, and then I want this crowd of bumpkins OUT!

  2. Andie Says:

“The best is yet to come for Jordan”, I smell a recast. I found Jordan boring and her “secret” dragged out way too long. I was just getting into the Chad and Jordan budding romance and the fact it would drive “little miss cupcakes” crazy.
As for Mary Beth, buh-bye, not gonna cry. I could care less she got on my nerves especially she was stuck up (and had no reason to be) she was so obsession with Paige (and maybe had a crush). I think Paige’s one girlfriend quota is being filled by this Daphne girl we have yet to see who lives in the dorms.

    • mykleraus Says:

I’m terrified there might be a recast, but I’m hoping she means there will just be an actual climax to this story before March. Jordan and Chad have something resembling a spark, but it’s certainly not worth keeping her around for. I hope they’re cutting their losses on this one.

I didn’t think anyone could be as useless as Madison James but Jordan proved me wrong. Her biggest plot point was taking her glasses off.

    • mykleraus Says:

I’m still waiting for her optometrist from Poplar Bluff to show up and reveal that she HAD LASIK BUT KEPT HER GLASSES TO LOOK SMART!!!!

    • Andie Says:

Madison James hahahaha 😄 she basically a dead weight character. I found Arianna Herandez pointless as well. It seemed to me they went on a hiring spree of unemployed actors as a result of Passions being canceled: Brady, Rafe, Arianna, the first Gabi…the guy who played Police Chef Sam Bennett on Passions briefly played a cop on Days).

      • mykleraus Says:

I actually liked Arianna, but I thought the way they tried to force her and Brady together to do Theresa & Ethan 2.0 was pretty lame. She had some spark with EJ, though. I don’t really care that she was killed off, but she certainly was better than Taylor or Madison or Jordan.

Also, it’s a miracle/shocking that they haven’t cast the Lopez-Fitzgerald mom to play Mama Hernandez yet.
