Better Luck Next Time

Look, Hope: I know it’s been a hot minute since you had to deal with dating —

— but prattling on about your soon-to-be ex-husband and his mother is maybe not the ideal approach. Maybe there’s a reason every other guy you’ve dabbled with (Larry Welch, Franco Kelly, Patrick Lockhart) has turned into a raving psycho? Do Aiden a favor and shut up about Bo.

Aiden probably could’ve saved himself some time and trouble by just taking her to Chez Rouge, too.

Then again, if I had to choose between having spaghetti dumped on me in an abandoned Chicago restaurant or taking the risk that Maggie “Big Red” Kiriakis might waltz into her restaurant and start yakking about “MY SON,” I’d probably pick the marinara bath, too.

Lol the date was sort of hilarious, in a ridiculous way. There was no one at the restaurant, and all they have left after that spaghetti is mints? Oh my goodness.. Also, it was quite absurd that there was no smoke from this “fire” in the kitchen. Why didn’t they go out and do something else after leaving the restaurant, instead of immediately going back to Salem?

I was actually shocked when the waiter appeared, because during Kate and Clyde’s dinner date at another random restaurant corner, there was literally NO ONE else there. They couldn’t get two extras to cross by a few times?!

LOL 😄 Love your post and choice of pictures. That “date” much like the low budget, kamikaze Gala was a major letdown! I’m pretty sure the real reason Haiden didn’t go anywhere else after that resturant fiasco/canceled show was bc Hope mentioned they should “quit while they are ahead.” I don’t know what that means? The only way those two were “ahead” is eating desert (the mints) before their they dine separatley at a Wendy’s or Sonic off I-90 on their way(s) back to Salem. They are both adorable and sexy however they are party poopers. 😐

After thirty years on Days, we are only just now discovering that Hope loves Sondheim?! That made me laugh as much as Susan’s antics in this episode. (Not to mention JJ’s ultra blow-waved hair)

“Company” was the ideal Sondheim show to mention. Imagine if they paid the rights and started using some of the music in the episodes. Company could become for Hope what “Ride of the Walkyries” is for Stefano
