Nothing is Sacred

I was finishing the final season of Weeds (yes, I know it’s not 2012, shut up), and look who popped up!

Screen Shot 2014-08-19 at 11.24.17 PM

She wasn’t a maniacal H.R. worker trying to get Nancy fired, since Nancy never held a legit job long enough for that to be possible (but if she had, there’s no doubt she’d be just as bad as Jennifer Horton), but still. And speaking of Anne… look at me not mentioning that barf-inducing scene from last week where Theresa suggested that Anne might have a shot with Daniel and Anne totally ate it up. Is no one safe from this scourge?!

Monday’s episode featured an entire sequence with dialogue that was pretty much exactly what I’d write if I were creating a parody called Days of Daniel’s Life:

Hope: We’re so lucky Daniel caught Kristen! Now Eric can have justice!
JJ: But most importantly, Daniel wasn’t hurt!
Hope: And Jen, what about your date with Aiden?
JJ(eyes fall out of head) Date? Why would anyone want to date anyone besides Daniel?!?!

Ugh. God help us all if Daniel ever has to operate on JJ…

  1. GnuHopper Says:

This makes me think of one of those “Twilight Zone” episodes where someone makes a deal with the devil then gets an ironic comeuppance. Maybe Shawn Christian made an infernal deal in which he asked to be “the most popular person in Salem” and is now being driven slowly mad by everyone NEVER SHUTTING UP about how “wonderful” Daniel is. (Or maybe it’s just me going crazy from having to listen to it)

  2. Farah Says:

This episode was shot in what march? April? Did we not make our opinions on Daniel known! No one likes him. No one. He ruins every character, and drags them down. Chloe, Kate, Nicole, Jennifer, Carly, Victor, Eric, JJ, and so on and so forth. STAWP IT.

    • Dylan Says:

He’s even gotten some nicknames on the internet: Dr Tanman, Dr Orange Glow, Taniel Jonas. He’s so tedious.

  3. Andie Says:

Meredith Scott Lynn/Ann Milbauer is hysterical and she provides much needed comic relief. I love her snarky quips and her bitchiness is so natural. Ann busts her ass at work and can’t stand others with poor work ethic like Jen who get away with leaving for lunch everyday and not returning. I also, enjoy Ann as an ANNtagonist for Dannifer. I really hope Ann doesn’t hook up with Dr. Dan, he has already done about half the women in Salem and that would be way too much hair on my TV screen!
Did you know the Lynn played the feminist law student in Legally Blonde and the Credit Card Vixen in Night at the Roxbury?

  4. One more screen credit to Meredith/Anne’s credit: “Billy Hollywood’s Screen Kiss” – featuring none other than Matthew Ashford on one of his JER hiatuses. YES – in this world Anne and Jack were buddies decades before Dannifer.
