Fright Fest

Oh look. The RomanBot got a new coat of coppery paint on its top.

I mean, there’s hair dye, and then there’s Just For Men, and then there’s shit you buy in the deck section of Home Depot.

I’m glad that Roman Brady still has a presence in Salem. That’s my Positive Thought for the day. And with that out of the way… Look, if Josh Taylor has had health problems, I am genuinely sorry. I’m happy that he can still work enough to maintain his health insurance. But sometimes his appearances on the show come across like a very ambitious adventure in taxidermy.

Speaking of frightful…

Amanda Corday, the daughter of Executive Producer Ken Corday and granddaughter of Days creators Ted and Betty Corday, played the nurse who was grilling Theresa about her relationship with Daniel earlier in the week. And she was… honestly, she was fine. She was fine. I wasn’t like, “Give this woman a contract!” But she was adequate, in that way that some Salem dayplayers manage to be, in spite of the fact that their dialogue is usually about as subtle as a Miley Cyrus marketing campaign.

That’s my real issue here. What a miserable role to have to play. Everyone at the damn hospital wants Daniel. We get it. I promise. Every time we see a non-contract player who works at the hospital, she (always a she — can they at least mix it up and give us a gay?) is crowing and carrying on about what a hot prize Daniel is. “He’s so nice! He takes the time to talk to the little people!” Woman, there are like five rooms in the hospital. Where the fuck else is he gonna hang out? And why is she so eager to hear about Theresa’s alleged tryst with Daniel? She could literally get the same info from any woman on whom he has operated, ever.

So while I’m sure Ted and Betty Corday would be thrilled that their granddaughter had the opportunity to appear on the show that they created nearly half a century ago, I’m also sure that they are rolling over in their graves at the absolute drivel she was given to spew.

  1. I love all of this. Imagine Amanda and Roman shared a scene? Could you please tell me what they would talk about

  2. William Says:

I wish they could have done the girls hair and given her a little makeup. I mean she looked thrilled to be there but come on. They atleast do Maxine’s weave and give her some liner

  3. Am I imagining this or was this really Nicole’s makeup for ThursDays episode?
