What Happened In Salem: Week of Nov. 26th

Everyone was yapping about forgiveness, except for this crew…

Sami and Rafe raced to the Salem Abortion Depot to stop Gabi from terminating her pregnancy, which Will was also trying to do. Gabi emerged and told all of them that she wasn’t able to go through with it because she remembers what happened to poor barren Mimi Lockhart (no one loved her ever again and she suffered a variety of tragic hairstyles). Nick arrived and took Gabi home, where she admitted that the baby is Will’s. Nick proposed that they keep that fact between them and get married, and he’ll raise the baby as his own. Will continued to keep the truth about the baby from Sonny.

I’m calling this week, ‘Two Bitches, one Barrette’. You know money’s tight when Marlena has to pass it over to Jennifer between scenes.

The Wabi baby will be fine. Lots of parents (Gabi, Will, Nick, Sonny) to look after him or her, young and clueless as they all may be. Sami and Rafe can always swoop in to save the day, if needed. On a personal note, I can’t hate this storyline, because I AM the Wabi baby. This is my story playing out on screen. My folks are a mixture of gay and straight peeps who were late teens/early 20s when I was born. I am interested to see how this SL develops!

Oooh really? Interesting! I’d say you turned out fine, but you watch this show, sooooo…

All joking aside, I’ll be curious to hear your perspective as this plays out, especially if this kid makes it to birth and beyond.

      • Joanna Says:

Haha, yes. Being a Days fan is not my most well-adjusted quality. The Wabi baby’s journey won’t really get interesting for many years, unless SORAS strikes him or her. Considering that Sami’s children seem to have relative SORAS immunity, I wonder if Will’s offspring will be immune as well?

      • mykleraus Says:

I suspect they’ve been immune because Ali Sweeney is so young and they had the luxury of aging Will in real time. If Will’s kid gets SORASed, Marlena could be a great-great-grandmother in like 10 years!
