Even Kate Wouldn’t Go There

Aside from the explosion, there was another major shocker on Friday’s show.

I thought Abigail looked fine — the side ponytail was kind of goofy, but Kate Mansi was pulling it off — and then all of a sudden, they cut to a wide shot and I saw… I saw… this.

She is wearing a jumpsuit. A KNEE-LENGTH, BELTED JUMPSUIT. TO A FORMAL FUNCTION. THAT IS INSANE.

The fashion was all over the map! Now we know where the explosion budget came from! What kind of charity fundraiser ISN’T black tie?! For f*cks sake, Lucas was in a golf shirt and a blazer!! And Kayla? My god. How many versions of that wrap blouse/full skirt combo does she have?! Not to mention that nothing says “formal event” like the colour BROWN!

Ahahaha! I’m dying. Lucas looked almost Miami Vice-ish. Almost none of the men had ties on. And Kayla always wears a variation on that outfit, and it’s always unflattering! The skirt length is so bad.

LOL, I thought the same thing! I literally paused it when it went to a wide shot. I had to take a moment to recover. I can’t tell you how many times I have been shopping the racks for dresses, found something I thought was cute, then looked down only to discover it was a jumpsuit.

So so much can be said about the outfit selections. So many unbuttoned shirts with jackets (Cameron & Dr. Dan, to name a few). But I am still recovering from Sami’s outfit- the Sarah Palin Blazer with the first day of school hairdo is just too much.

It was shocking! Jumpsuits always are, but I sort of expect them on crazy celebrities — not so much in Salem. Good grief!

And yes, I don’t think the wardrobe people gave any thought as to what the dress code for this event might be. Lucas’s polo with a white blazer really took the cake for the men.
